Zohaib Bilal is a Pakistani filmmaker, writer, and sound designer whose work explores memory, surveillance, and collapse. His short film Catfish was one of only three Pakistani films screened at Tasveer Film Festival, the only Oscar-qualifying South Asian festival. Three of his short films are set to debut on the OTT platform Begin Watch.

In 2025, Zohaib was awarded the Salam Award for Speculative Fiction for his story The Smogline. He is also a member of QALAMBAAZ, Pakistan’s first professional screenwriting development program, His work often weaves personal experience with broader social realities, using experimental forms to explore an array of subjects. In addition to writing and directing, Zohaib has experience as a musician and sound designer, bringing a unique sensitivity to films where sound is central to storytelling.
